Michael W. Lanier is a native of Jacksonville, Florida. He graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point, NY in 1992 and served our Nation for 5 additional years as a Field Artillery Officer in the United States Army.
He returned to Jacksonville in 1998 and attended law school at night while serving as a mortgage loan officer for some of the Country's most prestigious banks and lenders. Upon completion of law school, Michael continued his work as a mortgage professional, while also conducting real estate closings, reviewing title abstracts and settling title issues.
Thereafter, with his career focused on the practice of Real Estate Law, in 2006 Michael started his own law firm, The Law Offices of Michael W. Lanier, P.A., where he was responsible for the representation of buyers, sellers, and lending institutions in all aspects of Real Estate transactions. Recently, however, he became acutely aware of the pain and hardship of many of his past clients caused by this current economy, real estate devaluation and lending practices correction. Michael retrofitted his entire operation to meet the needs of the North Florida community through loan modifications, foreclosure defense, loan forensics, credit repair and credit restarts.
In 2009 Michael began an "of counsel" relationship with the law firm of Combs Greene McLester, and Michael and Combs Greene McLester now work on many cases together related to the mortgage foreclosure crisis and mortgage foreclosure defense.
In his spare time, Michael enjoys spending time on the St Johns River as well as being a coach for the Mandarin Tigers Pop Warner Football Association from 2006 to the present. He currently lives here in Jacksonville with his two children, Miles and Grace.
